Tola Dolza is my essence. The essence of many years in the design world, always on a journey of discovery of special things - especially in their appearance, especially because of their origin and, above all, especially in the long term.

Ambito

New yet timeless, astonishing yet familiar - conceived with the ambition to be the defining piece of the collection. With this vision, Munich-based designer Steffen Kehrle began his work on Ambito.

A unique presence, a character piece, a statement. At once storage and spontaneous surface, both indispensable and effortlessly at the center of a room - with the potential to become a lifelong companion.

Steffen Kehrle draws on decades of experience in working with metal sheet, exploring its possibilities to create a play of folds, curves, and planes that reveal surprising details. Light filters through. The surroundings come alive. Stability takes shape. Natural materials such as linoleum, veneer, or marble can be added, enriching the piece with tactile warmth and a dialogue with space and interior.

“Ambito has grown – just like the collaboration with Tola Dolza. Through an intensive exploration of material, surface and craftsmanship, an object has emerged that feels at once extraordinary and yet completely natural.”

The Ambito Collection is available in two versions – side table and coffee table. The design concept and construction are identical for both models. The only difference lies in the base shape – rectangular or square – and the varying heights.

Rosso Levanto

Rosso Levanto is a sought-after, dark red stone from the region around Levanto in Liguria. Its intense colours and dramatic veining make it a perfect match with the tones of Ambito. A more neutral yet still expressive option is Portoro Silver marble, with a deep black base enlivened by silver and white veins.

Arcobaleno

Unknown interpretations find their expression in the new veneers by Konstantin Grcic, part of the Designer Collection by Alpi. Three veneers emerged through the transition of colours and the programmed sequence of their shifts. A striking option for Ambito.
